Up Next: Brand videos and the Importance of Building a Brand

Are you hosting an event? Maybe to launch a product, or possibly a gala to raise money for a chairy your business supports. It is a great idea to capture the emotions of this event with video. It can be used for many different purposes; including: promotion for the same event next year, recruitment, and raising funds for your selected charity. Events should be captured to help spread awareness of what your company is up to! It makes for great content for your social media and can help grow your online presence.

Brand videos are important to get your message across. These videos help prospects to understand who you are and what your mission is. These videos are supposed to inspire your viewers to take action and give your brand a positive impression to the viewer. The goal here is to instill your brand in the customers mind; not sell them a product. Think of the commercials that you see during the Super Bowl (many people only watch for the commercials not the game!). These commercials send a message. The great ones hit you emotionally down deep, and make you think of a memory from when you were a child or maybe a situation you are currently in.

Case Study: Budweiser “Puppy Love”

This commercial doesn’t say a single line of dialogue, but is very emotional. It starts out with a song that tugs on your heart. Showing “Warm Springs Puppy Adoption” center where the cutest little golden retriever puppy escapes to make an unlikely friend with a giant clydesdale at the farm next door. The puppy is quickly taken back to his home at the adoption center. You can see how the horse and puppy miss each other as the puppy is taken back home. Once again, the puppy escapes to see his friend in the middle of the rainy night. Again he is given back and tries to escape to visit his friend but gets caught digging under the fence. Now there is an adopter that comes to pick the puppy up to take him home. He is put in the back of the car to leave the farm forever. The horse notices that his friend is being taken and begins running at top speed, jumping over fences in an attempt to save his little friend. The other horses see what’s happening and jump in to help save the puppy. Suddenly the car with the puppy in it has to come to screeching halt due to the horses surrounding the car. Next the puppy is leading the horses back to his real home; the farm. The last scene shows how the puppy is able to play with his best friend the horse. They are united once and for all!

What Does this Have to Do With Beer? Absolutely Nothing!

Budwiser created this ad to make something that you will remember. The clydesdale is a pretty much a trademark of the brand. When you see a big horse; you probably think of Budwiser! Crazy isn’t it? How did a horse become the image of a beer company? BRANDING!
